This one-day seminar focuses on providing the student with an overview of the use of online social networks in criminal investigations. The course is taught utilizing a live online environment that provides the student with a preview of the various popular online social networking sites that are in existence today and how they can be utilized in various types of criminal investigations. The objective of this course is to provide an introduction for law enforcement officers who want to gain a basic working knowledge of the scope and breadth of online social networks and some of the benefits and challenges they present to law enforcement in criminal investigations.
